ONAR framework is based on the academic research about the utilization of Ontologies for Enterprise Application Integration from the University of Sunderland based on ALTEC S.A. enterprise applications and middleware technologies. The project results are used and evaluated in a group of research projects.

ONAR semantic interoperability activity introduces a new approach to the field of application integration with the usage of ontologies. ONAR members group is a group of consultants, academic researchers and developers that helps the evolution of ONAR and the development of new ideas in the fields of:

• Enterprise Application integration
• Semantic Web and Ontologies
• Service Oriented Architectures & Middleware technologies
