The health care market in Germany has been undergoing changes for several years now. Every health care reform leaves its mark and requires hospitals to adapt to new laws and regulations within a very short period. The hospitals are no longer able to secure their existence simply by existing; instead, they have to market high-quality medical and nursing care. The Schüchtermann Clinic in Bad Rothenfelde accepts the challenges of politics and the market situation and is well-equipped for the future.

The clinic is one of the largest heart centers in Germany and is the country’s innovative pioneer in many areas of cardiovascular treatment. To maintain and even develop this position is one of our goals for the future.

Intensive care unit under construction:

Construction of the new intensive care unit for the Schüchtermann Clinic began in August 2007.

 Date: 29/08/07
The following facilities will be completed by the end of 2009:
a parking garage with 140 parking spaces for patients, relatives and employees
a new emergency room, which will make it much easier for emergency vehicles to access the clinic
a helicopter landing site, which conforms to the most recent EU directives
an intensive care unit and intermediate care unit with 52 beds
The clinic group includes the integrated heart center Schüchtermann-Schiller’sche Clinic in Bad Rothenfeld (cardiology, cardio-surgery and cardiologic rehabilitation), the orthopedic Dörenberg Clinic in Bad Iburg, the medicos.Osnabrück, the medicos.AufSchalke and the medicos.ISP. Affiliates include the Medical Care Units at the Dörenberg Clinic and at the Schüchtermann Clinic in Bad Rothenfelde. All of the various clinics – especially the Schüchtermann-Schiller’sche Clinic – are united by one element: their high quality and competence requirements in all matters concerning the patients, with the respective medical core competence forming the basis for innovations.
