Open Technology Services was founded in Thessalonica, Greece in 1993. The aim of the Company was to provide high quality Information Technology Solutions and Services to Companies and Organizations in the Public and Private Sector. At 2000 OTS became a subsidiary of ALTEC S.A. one of the Major Information Technology Companies in Greece.

Since 1996, the Company has been expanding itself and is now providing its Solutions & Services to companies and institutions all over Greece. Since 2000, OTS operates a branch office in Athens.

Today, OTS has a strong expertise in the fields of Public Administration and Public Finance with over 700 successful installations of its applications in the Public Sector.

To fulfill its main target, OTS had to succeed in developing Integrated IT Solutions with the assistance of evolution in innovative technologies. The Company is structured by the following main Departments:
Commercial Department
Technical Department
Project Department
Financial and Administration Department

The Technical Department is structured by two offices: the Research & Development Office and the Service Office.

IT Experts, Computer Scientists and highly skilled personnel are reinforcing the above Departments and Units.

Customers
OTS has over 500 customers in the field of the Public Sector. Our customers are mainly Local Government Organizations like Municipalities and Prefectures, Universities and Legal Entities of Public Law.

Activity areas:
The Software Development Department develops innovative, secure, user-friendly software, which is constantly following the new trends in IT. Our Software takes full advantage of the capabilities provided by the Telecommunication Networks and the World Wide Web.

The Company holds a competitive advantage through the use of innovative self-developed tools so that Software production time is reduced to a minimum.

The name "Open Technology Services" denotes that our Company is focusing on a broader Philosophy concerning Information Technology. As a direct result, OTS Applications are flexible, compatible (with most IT platforms and Operating Systems), upgradeable and expandable. Therefore our customers obtain the best value for their investment as well as high quality of service.

The Support and Training Office is responsible for the evaluation and production of well-documented studies concerning the implementation and realization of large scale IT projects.

The Company delivers the necessary hardware, system and application software and installs it, providing a 'turn key solution'. The installation is supported onwards the purchase, such as high availability can continuously be achieved. For this reason, scheduled technical checks are made and trained personnel are available for site visits in case of hardware/software failure. Certain upgrades are delivered to the client according to the support contract.

Training is provided on a need-to basis, to large customers and individuals, organized bye the Support Department. The training involves the OTS Products as well as New Technologies (e.g. Security, e-Commerce, System Software etc).
